Sitting on that chair with the whiff of silence in the air made me worry about the time when I checked that it was already 5 mins past 14:00. No one had the courage to interrupt who was supposed to be a terror teacher and tell her that it was already time. No way.
So by the time we had our daily pilgrimage up through the four flights of stairs, it was already 14:10. Late. We went in anyway and I expected a bit of another silent moment where he interrogates us of our tardiness with the smoke coming from his ears. But nope, it didn't happen that way. He asked us smilingly who our teacher was and why we didn't bother to tell her that her subject was up. At least that's better anyway.
Finally, after days(a week and a day of SOHCAHTOA and vectors to be exact) we now get to the quiz. I should know the drill by now right? Everybody does too of course.
But that quiz proved wrong, putting all of us down, stooping even lower under our already low self-esteem. I did not know what I was going to do.
So guess what? Everbody- well, nearly everybody got the immortal "0" syndrome.
Still, it's sad isn't it? Being a teacher and seeing all those "0"'s shoved in your face...
*No offense intended. But I'm still sorry.

The Physics Epic: Part 2
"I don't hate it, but I don't love it either." That's what one of the judges in Iron America said after tasting a not-exacly-delicious dessert of seafood and whip cream. And I thought that was the best way to describe Physics lately, you've got nothing to do but swallow it anyway because it's part of the game.
We studied vectors and SOHCAHTOA again and I still wonder how he can make it look so hard...
Our homework for today: Redo last homework. Okay, alright, I'm fine with that. Some of us went to a group study at some place but I didn't exactly feel like going. Some people just want to work it out their own way by themselves, some want to do it tomorrow and some people just don't learn. Not my problem, but theirs.
When we passed the homework, I just knew at the back of my head that he'd notice the obvious copying of homework. He did see it(like anyone wouldn't). I saw that smirk disappear from his face the moment he looked through those papers. I'd wipe that expression off my face if I saw papers full of pointy mountains that didn't signify anything more than that.
But there was something no teacher has actually said before: If you're gonna copy, don't just copy. You've got to know what you're copying and don't keep a blind eye 'cause in the end you'll still lose. The person who lets the subscribers go wild with the homework network should also tell them what they should know about the homework. Or something like that.
The teachers I had before were like, "I'll be reading each and every homework, every letter, every comma, every period, everything. So don't copy if you know what's good for you."
It's funny. But both of them are right in their own ways and I won't fight them for that.

The Physics Epic: Part 1
The last class exits and the next is outside, waiting to get in. The teacher goes out too with a smile(more like a smirk) on his face and looks at the next people he will be stepping on. Everyone lines up. Straight. Finally, we go in.
Second Day has been going great so far and I'm thinking this is just going to be another walkthrough. We all sit, without a buzz to be heard, and everyone's just staring at the teacher(still smirking) in front of us. Now what?
He talks for most of the time and when he asks for questions, we're not asking. Either we understood or was just afraid for fear of getting bitten by the God of All Smirks, cursing us forever.
That wasn't just another walkthrough. It was pressure. His whole talk made me feel like my life in the third year is gonna be hard as hell. But, if I think about it, he just sounds like another teacher of ours last year and it wasn't as bad as what she said or how we pictured it. In short, maybe I'm going to be just fine.
---=++++=---
The next two days made me unsure if I could even hold on to the last thing I said, though. Our first lesson was SOHCAHTOA and I didn't understand a word he said. I was even confident before I got in that it was going to easy. It was easy. But, everytime he asked us a question, my mind would suddenly go blank. Intuition told me to ask those beside me if they knew. Unfortunately, they didn't know either.
Even the lesson on vectors was just like that. And by tomorrow, I need to answer the problem he gave us. Ugh...
But he did teach me something and it's this: The teacher isn't there to teach, he's just there to tell you what you should know for tomorrow. Rely on your wits and not on him, he won't tell you what you want but what you need to get what you want. Lastly, there are friends, if you didn't understand and they did, well, what are they for?
---=++++=---
Expectations
1. It won't be as hard as I think it is.
2. It won't be boring.
3. I know there'll be a lot of calculating, that's what Physics is known for anyway and wishing for it to go away won't have any effect whatsoever.
4. Mr. Mendoza will keep smiling till the end of time.
